Restaurante Umaueyon in Córdoba

"Food was really good, but the portions aren’t that big, so expect to order extra dishes. Service wasn’t great, they seemed understaffed. The restaurant wasn’t even fully packed (lots of empty tables), but the waiter still wasn’t available most of the time. He even forgot our rice order and we had to remind him. The tajine chicken and mezze platter were delicious, and the beef kofta was great too. They don’t give a lot of bread with the dishes so you’ll have to order extra. It’s a fully halal restaurant with no alcohol. You’ll need to make a reservation, otherwise you probably won’t be able to eat there."

"A lovely middle eastern restaurant with a central atrium. The menu is concise, all the food freshly prepared. Some of the best olives I have had in ages with pomegranate molasses and walnuts, 10/10. Combined with the perfectly charted aubergine, would def recommend."

"What we liked : - The restaurant is really beautiful from inside. - Waiters are super nice. - Shawarma plate was really delicious and Sheikh Soup was good as well. - Delicious Moroccan tea. What we didn't like : - The menu changed two weeks before we arrived comparing the one we saw on google maps (posted 3months ago) and the price increased. - There is no Hrira soup in the new menu. - The Pastilla wasn't really delicious. - Is it a bit expensive for the quantity you get."

"WOW! Restaurante Umaueyon is an absolute gem tucked away on a beautiful street just steps from the Mosque–Cathedral of Córdoba. The moment you walk in, you’re transported- vibey atmosphere, a stunning courtyard, and a Moroccan-esque feel that makes the experience feel truly special. The food? Incredible! Everything is halal and bursting with flavor. We ordered the lamb, eggplant, and hummus topped with pomegranate, and every dish was delicious- perfectly seasoned, fresh, and beautifully presented. A special shout out to Muhammad, who was incredibly kind and welcoming and made our experience even better! If you’re visiting Córdoba, this place is a must; there is even a place to pray. Highly recommend Restaurante Umaueyon- great food, great vibes + an unforgettable atmosphere!"

"The food was excellent, the greeting started not so good! We had made a reservation for Christmas Eve dinner the day before, asked for a specific table because we wanted to make my mother comfortable. When we got there our table request was not honored and we had to go back and forth and explain the needs…afterwards everything went well, excellent and caring servers and delicious meal. Absolutely recommended ."

"We had lunch in the patio decorated with gorgeous blue tiles. The meze food and salad were unusual mixes, and delicious. I'd happily return there for the tajines also. Try the alcohol free sangria as an aperitif."

"Beautiful restaurant! Service was great. We were worried she would forget what we ordered as she didn’t write anything down, but we got everything we ordered and it was all delicious. We didn’t even speak to each other. The mezze starter, the kebabs, Moroccan tea, fattoush salad, tagine, practically anything on the menu, is a must order."
